In Bangalore, Thaipoosa Festival is going to happen upcoming week ends.
Sanmarkka sangam is inviting all sanmarkka anbars to celebrate the sanmarkka festival.
First, Bangalore,Vadalur Jothi Ramalinga swamigal samarasa sanmarkka Sangam, 4 Days
Festival from 14-Feb-2008 to 17-Feb-2008.
This sangam has established 64 years back.
This is 64th year Festival
In Addition to this, Recently, this sanmarkka sangam has constructed "Big Building" in Vadalur
with "all basic facilities in good manner" and doing Poor feeding during all Monthly Poosam.

Dear Sir kindly let me know about the Chatti Samiyar whose photo is there in your invitation 4th page of the Bangalore Vallalar Sangam
I know Chatti Samiyar lived in Bangalore in the year around 1965.
One day my grandfather saw him sleeping in cold weather shivering so he came home and took a new military made wooden blanket and gave it to him.
I still know how my grandfather was abused for this act of his.
But grandfather was a ardent devotee of him and he taught me the mantra Chatti Samiyar gave him.
The mantra starts with the first letter of Om Nama Shivaiah.
Like Om Akshara Nama Sthubyam...ends with Kai vallya uttamam.
Hope someone writes about Chatti Samiyar more.
